Redskins have cut DT Kendall Reyes
According to Mike Jones of the Washington Post, the team released defensive lineman Kendall Reyes. In 2010, he served as one of four team captains for the University of Connecticut Huskies and was named to the All-Big East Conference first team following the season. He was drafted by the San Diego Chargers in the second round of the 2012 NFL Draft.
The former Chargers second-rounder was signed this offseason, and had just returned from a groin injury.
The Redskins have a pretty horrible defense ranked 29th right now and this is the second major free agent that they cut since the beginning of free agency. The Redskins cut both Stephen Paea and Kendall Reyes, who were brought in to revamp their front.
