Patriots third string QB suffered an injured thumb; Conflicting reports
Man this is insane. So far, Jimmy G and Jacoby Brissett have the Patriots at 3-0, but the Patriots could have another problem. According to Mike Petraglia, Jacoby Brissett will need surgery to fix a torn right thumb ligament. That is his throwing hand which means the Patriots could be looking at Julian Edelman as their quarterback next week against the Bills.
Source confirms torn right thumb ligament for Jacoby Brissett. Suffered injury in 2nd half Thursday. Faces likely surgery for stabilization.
