New York Giants signed former Arena Football standout Joe Powell
The New York Giants have signed former small school cornerback Joe Powell. Powell was recently with the Arena Football League with the Cleveland Gladiators.
Powell played his college football at the Globe Institute of Technology. He most recently played professional football in the AFL for the Cleveland Gladiators where he finished with 12.5 tackles and four interceptions in 2015.
In a corresponding move the team waived DB Matt Smalley, who suffered a dislocated shoulder Monday.
