Did Dallas Cowboys owner ruin their chances of landing Nick Foles?
Ed Werder of ESPN suggested that Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones’ comments about Nick Foles may have turned Foles off, which is why he signed with the Chiefs.
When Jerry Jones was asked about Nick Foles, Jones said he liked his number 2 quarterback better than Nick Foles. That is before his number 2 quarterback went down with a broken leg.
“Jerry Jones and Stephen Jones were asked about their interest and they said they weren’t interested, they knew who he was because he played in their division, and they believed the quarterback they had was a better player at the No. 2 position. Then the injury occurred and it dramatically changed circumstances, but I don’t know that Nick Foles ever got over what he considered to be derogatory remarks made by the Cowboys about their backup quarterback position,” Werder said today on NFL Live.
So here is my question, did Jerry Jones speak too soon?
