Report: 49ers officials believe Blaine Gabbert has a better grasp of Chip Kelly’s system
Could Colin Kaepernick get beaten out as the starting quarterback of the 49ers by Blaine Gabbert? I couldn’t see this happening, but Michael Wagaman of ESPN, is reporting that Gabbert has a better understanding of Chip Kelly’s system than Colin Kaepernick.
Wagaman also states that many in the organization see the former first round pick of the Jaguars as a better fit than Colin Kaepernick.
“Gabbert has a good grasp of coach Chip Kelly’s offense, and many in the organization see him as a better fit than Kaepernick, whose passing acumen has been questionable at times,” writes Michael Wagaman of ESPN.
With this settling in, I wonder if the 49ers will still try to trade Kaepernick?
