Geno Smith is “intent” on beating out Ryan Fitzpatrick for the starting job
Geno Smith is now the back-up quarterback again in New York, but that is not sitting well with him. The former West Virginia gun slinger is not going to just get pushed aside. According to Ian Rapoport, Geno is ready to fight for the starting spot.

I highly doubt that the Jets who are paying 12 million dollars for Ryan Fitzpatrick will sit him on the bench, but who knows. I guess if it makes Geno excited to play it was worth it.
