Raiders owner bought the website Las Vegas Raiders in 1999?
The Oakland Raiders traveling to Las Vegas has been on the mind of Mark Davis for quite some time. According to Andy Abboud, vice president for government relations and community development at Las Vegas Sands Corporation, Davis bought the domain name Las Vegas Raiders back in 1999. This is from the MMQB blog of Robert Klemko who shared this piece of information.
“With Mark Davis coming to the tourism meeting and doing the interviews this spring,” Abboud said. “If you go onto the website, we released a video about their commitment to the community, and knowing that the Davis family has always had an interest in moving the team to Las Vegas. Mark told me he bought the Las Vegas Raiders website in 1999.”
