Former Browns coach says Johnny Football was great on the field
In an interview with Houston radio station KILT-FM, former Browns defensive backs coach Aaron Glenn told the media that Johnny Manziel was not a problem on the field.
“When Johnny’s in the building, outstanding,” said Glenn, who was the assistant DB coach in Cleveland the last two seasons, overlapping with Manziel’s tenure there. “When I say outstanding, you’re talking about watching a guy practice, and he had this — I don’t know what it is about him. The guys want to be around him. Guys want to practice for him. You’ve gotta watch the offense when he’s in that huddle. It was unbelievable.”
“But here’s the deal. With players you only have them for so long,” Glenn continued. “Once they get outside that building, they’re on their own because everyone’s a man. You’re a man and you have your time off. That’s where the issue happened with Manziel.”
It sounds like Aaron Glenn feels like us. Too bad Johnny Manziel doesn’t want it as bad as we did for him.
