Las Vegas Raiders? It could happen if a stadium is approved on Thursday

The Oakland Raiders will seek relocation to Las Vegas if a domed stadium is built there according to Vincent Bonsignore of the Los Angeles Daily News. Owner Mark Davis plans to make a commitment on Thursday to pursue relocation to Las Vegas if financing for the proposed $1.3 billion stadium is approved. Roughly two-thirds of the funds would come from taxes imposed on tourists.

Davis is scheduled to appear Thursday the same day as the NFL Draft’s first round at a Southern Nevada Tourism Infrastructure Committee meeting at UNLV. A plan to build a $1.3 billion domed stadium will be discussed at that meeting. If the stadium is built Davis will promise Thursday to make the “Las Vegas Raiders” happen if the stadium is built.

While this would still need an approval from the NFL, but many teams may be on board.
