Rashean Mathis will sign a one day contract with the #Jaguars to retire
Former Bethune Cookman standout cornerback Rashean Mathis will retire as a Jacksonville Jaguar.
Mathis, owns the franchise record for career interceptions with 30, doubling Aaron Beasley’s second-best total of 15. Mathis was selected in the second round (39th overall) out of Bethune-Cookman by the Jaguars in 2003 after the team took quarterback Byron Leftwich in the first round.
Mathis will sign a one day contract on Wednesday and likely have a celebration at the facility. Ryan Davis will likely be there to support his former Bethune Alum.
