Redskins have released DL Jason Hatcher — Free Agent defensive end Jason Hatcher has retired from the NFL

Jason Hatcher the former Washington Redskins and Dallas Cowboys pass rusher has called it a career. According to his agent, Jordan Woy, the leader on the defensive side of the ball will not play another snap in the NFL.

Jason Hatcher (Cowboys/redskins) is retiring from the NFL. A great player and better friend. His leadership will be missed by teammates.

Hatcher visited the Saints last month, after Washington released him this offseason, after a two-year stint there. The former third-rounder spent his first eight years with the Cowboys, earning Pro Bowl honors in 2013.
