Cleveland Browns have signed former Jets wide out Saalim Hakim
The Cleveland Browns made a roster move today according to their twitter feed. The team signed former New York Jets wide receiver Saalim Hakim. The team also released tight end Chase Ford.
Hakim is 5-11, 190-pounds and is officially in his second NFL season out of Tarleton State and Palomar College. Originally signed by Dallas as an undrafted free agent in 2012, Hakim has appeared in 21 career games with the Jets (19 from 2013-14) and Chiefs (two in 2015). He has returned 13 career kickoffs for 279 yards and a 21.5 average. He also played in the UFL in 2011. His brother, Az-Zahir, appeared in 110 games with the Rams, Lions and Saints from 1998-2006. A native of Atlanta, Georgia, Hakim graduated from Palo Verde High School.
