#Chiefs defensive end Mike DeVito has retired from the #NFL

Kansas City Chiefs defensive lineman Mike DeVito has announced that he is leaving the NFL. He posted this letter to the Bongor Daily News.
“This last lesson is the reason why I have made the decision to move on from football,” he wrote. “It is this; there are more important things in life than football. As hard as it is to say goodbye to the game that has made me the man I am, I cannot wait for the second half of this journey through life, loving Jessie more and more every day and watching my son Rocco start a journey of his own.”

DeVito played for the New York Jets from 2007 to 2012. He played college football at The University of Maine. DeVito finished his career with 242 tackles and 3.5 sacks. He was a love player in the locker room and will be missed.
