#Bengals should pursue defensive end Greg Hardy

The Cincinnati Bengals are a team known for taking a chance on players with off the field issues, and they seem to do well under head coach Marvin Lewis. If you look at their roster, Adam Pac Man Jones, and Vontaze Burfict are two players that come to mind right away. Both of those players had off the field issues and turned into very good players under Jones and the Bengals defense.
Right now the Bengals only have 4 defensive ends on their roster including Michael Johnson, Margus Hunt, Carlos Dunlap and Will Clarke. The Bengals could use a player like Hardy who adds depth and can get into the rotation with the others. While Hardy has an off the field issue that many others would not want to touch in domestic violence, the Bengals seem like a great fit.
At this point, Hardy cannot be demanding tons of money, because there are not many teams reaching out to him. I would sign Hardy to an incentive based deal, and it could end up paying off. In Dallas last year, Hardy was good on the field, but had a couple incidents off the field that Cowboys head coach did not appreciate.
“I thought Greg did some good things on the field,” Garrett said. “I thought he had some issues that occurred off the field that weren’t good for our football team.”
Hardy could add depth and just needs a person that is going to keep him check. I think Marvin Lewis can do that. What do you think Bengals fans, do you like the idea?
