Report: Broncos QB Peyton Manning will retire on Monday

Peyton Manning is one of the best quarterbacks to ever suit up in the National Football League, and he will retire according to ESPN’s Chris Mortensen.
Manning still had one year left on his contract but he’s content to walk away after winning his second Super Bowl last month against Carolina. Announcing his retirement now is the right call as Manning likely would have been cut ahead of free agency. He’ll go down as one of the best ever with five MVP awards, 14 Pro Bowl nods and a record 539 career touchdowns. Manning’s exit paves the way for Brock Osweiler to become the new starter, assuming the Broncos can re-sign him.
