#Redskins have signed TE Vernon Davis
Vernon Davis is a Washington DC native and he is returning home according to Jason LaCanfora of CBS Sports. Davis played college football at Maryland. He was drafted by the San Francisco 49ers sixth overall in the 2006 NFL Draft. Upon entering the league, Davis signed to a five-year, $23 million deal that made him the highest paid tight end at the time. In 2009, Davis co-led the NFL in touchdown receptions.
