Rex Ryan hopes the Jets lose Ryan Fitzpatrick to Free Agency
Last year the Buffalo Bills knocked the Jets out of the playoffs, but the Jets were on a roll in the AFC East. Rex Ryan the Bills head coach was asked about Ryan Fitzpatrick and the Jets, and Rex very quickly stated he hopes the Jets lose FitzMagic.
“I hope he goes somewhere else, I do,” Ryan said last week at the AFC Coaches Breakfast, via ESPN.com. “He’s tougher than hell. What’s lost in it is, he might have played poorly against us — it might have been a bad day (in Week 17) — but I think they won five straight with him and he was lighting it up, probably the most yards in the history of that franchise. We’ll see. Like I said, I hope they lose him.”
The Bills owned Fitzpatrick last season. Fitzpatrick lost both starts against Ryan in 2015, and in both games failed to complete more than 50 percent of his passes. He threw five total picks to just four touchdowns and missed the 200-yard mark in both games.
