Panthers have released former starting defensive end Wes Horton; Promote OT David Foucault
Today the Carolina Panthers waived defensive end Wes Horton. This comes a few days after claiming Ryan Delaire from the Redskins practice squad and trading for Jared Allen. Horton started 15 games in place of the suspended Greg Hardy last season, but he had played just 58 snaps for Carolina this season.
Former starting offensive lineman David Foucault was added off the practice squad in a corresponding move. The Panthers are stacking up their team to get ready to play Famous Jameis Winston and the Buccaneers this week.
