New York Giants have placed TE Daniel Fells on I/R with staph infection in his ankle
Last week the New York Giants activated tight end Will Tye from their practice squad as they were down one tight end. That tight end was Daniel Fells who had an ankle injury. Well now according to reports, Fells will be done for the entire year.
The Giants announced Monday that they are, in fact, placing TE Daniel Fells on season-ending injured reserve, due to staph infection in his ankle.
Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that Giants TE Daniel Fells unexpectedly underwent foot surgery this past week and is likely to be placed on season-ending injured reserve at some point in the near future, and this move could be a serious one.
