Cowboys have placed Lance Dunbar on I/R; Signed former Browns draft pick Vince Mayle to active roster

Cowboys are confident that one of their running backs will step up
Cowboys have placed Lance Dunbar on season ending I/R

Today the Dallas Cowboys placed running back Lance Dunbar on the injured reserve.  In a corresponding move the team placed wide receiver Vince Mayle off the practice squad.

Dunbar’s leg twisted underneath him awkwardly and he immediately threw the ball away and grabbed for his knee, so it was a clear indication that he likely had a major knee injury.

Mayle, 24, was taken in the fourth round of this year’s NFL Draft by the Browns. However, he was unable to make the team’s 53-man roster.
