Panthers and Luke Kuechly are real close to a contract extension
The Panthers have been in hard talks with getting a deal done for the leagues best middle linebacker. According to Rand Getlin, the sides are real close. 
The Panthers picked up Kuechly’s fifth-year option in April, and it was expected that a massive contract extension would eventually follow.
Kuechly, who ranks No. 14 on NFL Network’s Top 100 Players of 2015, has accumulated 473 tackles during his tenure in Carolina.
