Cardinals are expected to be without Andre Ellington for 2-3 weeks
Fantasy owners hoping Andre Ellington would be an every-down back this season suffered a potential blow in Week 1. The running back was carted off the field in the fourth quarter after what appeared to be a non-contact knee injury against the New Orleans Saints.
According to ESPN’s Josina Anderson reports Andre Ellington has been diagnosed with a Grade 1 PCL sprain, and will be sidelined 2-3 weeks.
Coach Bruce Arians has already said Chris Johnson will be the “lead dog” in Ellington’s absence, but rookie David Johnson scored on a 55 yard play in his only touch.
