Houston Texans have released veteran safety Stevie Brown
Today the Houston Texans released veteran safety Stevie Brown according to Tania Ganguli. There are tons of teams that could use a veteran safety right now, including his former team the New York Giants.
Brown, 28, signed a one-year, $825,000 contract that included a $40,000 signing bonus with the Texans back in April. He was set to make a base salary of $745,000 for the 2015 season.
Brown, 28, has 129 career tackles, eight interceptions and two forced fumbles in four NFL seasons.
A 2010 Raiders seventh-round draft pick from Michigan, Brown has also played for the Panthers, Colts and Giants.
