Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie is not a number fan, so he is doing a good deed.  The former first round pick from Tennessee State is giving away his number 21 to another first round pick.

Via Jordan Raanan of NJ.com, Collins told Rodgers-Cromartie he wanted to wear 21 in honor of the late Sean Taylor, and that was all the veteran corner needed to hear.

“I asked for it and gave him my reasoning behind it,” Collins said. “He doesn’t really care for numbers.”

Rodgers-Cromartie who is a Florida boy said he thought it was pretty cool, and he did not want anything for it. Collins was thankful for it though.

“He’s got that big contract,” Collins said. “But I didn’t know what to expect asking him for the number.”
