2016 NFL Scouting Notes: Kendall Fuller, CB, Virginia Tech
2016 NFL Scouting Notes: Kendall Fuller, CB, Virginia Tech
Tonight’s notes are on a player who has bloodline in the NFL. Kendall Fuller has three brothers, all of which have played or do play in the NFL. Brothers Kyle Fuller of the Bears and Corey Fuller of the Lions, and Vincent who played with multiple teams during his tenure in the league. Here are my notes:
Kendall Fuller. CB. 6’0 197 lbs. Virginia Tech
The Positives
1) Very good in both man and zone coverage
2) Uses good footwork to mirror the WR’s route
3) Plays all the CB spots on the field
4) Good Speed
5) Good size
The Negatives
1) As with most college (and some pro) corners, is just an average tackler
The film on this kid shows a very talented player who uses his above average footwork to match his opponents routes, and his track runner speed to stay with the fastest of receivers. Fuller also uses his hands just enough to gain an advantage, but not to draw many flags. His older brothers having NFL experience should give him an advantage in knowing what to expect, what will be expected of him, and how to best position himself to have success. Kendall Fuller could be the top CB in the draft if he has a successful year.
