Washington Redskins release their starting guard; Started 64 games in past four seasons

Today the Washington Redskins released Chris Chester one of their best offensive lineman. While Chester is 32, he has started all 64 games for Washington the past four seasons, but isn’t a fit for coach Jay Gruden’s power-blocking scheme at just 305 pounds.

#Redskins are going to release veteran G Chris Chester, per league source.
The Redskins saved 4 million by releasing Chester, but he might be a hard person to replace.
