Vikings have picked up the fifth year option for both Matt Kalil and Harrison Smith

The Minnesota Vikings announced Monday that they’ve exercised the the fifth-year options for LT Matt Kalil and S Harrison Smith.

Kalil, 25, was entering the final year of his four-year, $19,770,598 rookie contract and stands to make a base salary of $3,085,989 for the 2015 season. Smith, 26, is in the final year of his four-year, $7,138,546 rookie contract that included $5,775,109 guaranteed. He’ll make a base salary of $1,363,437 for the 2015 season
