Lions safety restructured his contract saving the team 2.17 million in cap space
Detroit Lions starting safety Glover Quin restructed his contract, converting $3.255 million of his 2015 base salary into a signing bonus, creating $2.17 million of cap space for Detroit while ensuring himself more guaranteed money sooner, per Field Yates of ESPN.
This is good for the Lions who were 32nd in the league for cap space. They will now have 2.13 million to play with.
