Cowboys owner says he would trade a 2016 1st round pick to acquire a running back
This year the Dallas Cowboys landed three potential first round picks with their draft. They stacked up after landing La’el Collins as an undrafted free agent. So when Jerry Jones was asked if he’d consider trading away his 2016 first-rounder to acquire even more talent — perhaps for a running back, or maybe further help on defense, his answer was clear.
“I’d be reluctant to, but certainly if the right situation came along that could improve us now, with where we are with Romo, his career and where we are with what we’ve put together, it’s a good time to go for it,” Jones said.
Maybe Adrian Peterson to Dallas is not over yet?
