Cowboys are trying to work on Brandon Carr’s deal to lower his cap number

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones wants to find a way to configure CB Brandon Carr to keep him on the team and lower his cap figure.
“That one is as it is, we’re evaluating, looking to the extent that we can make contractual adjustments that would fit and help us under the cap, we want to try to do that with him,” Jones said Wednesday, via the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. “We value Carr and what he can mean for us this year.”
Carr says he loves being a part of the franchise, so there’s a chance he could work with the team when it comes to his cap figure.
“I’m a Cowboy,” Carr said. “I love being a Cowboy. As long as I’m in this building, I’m going to give it my all.”
