Carolina Panthers defensive end Frank Alexander says he has put down Marijuana

Last year, Carolina Panthers defensive end Frank Alexander was suspended twice for the use of illegal substance. Alexander was suspended for four games and then an additional 10 games. The former Oklahoma standout is a very sound pass rusher, but has a problem with marijuana. Alexander talked to the Charlotte Observer and told them he is done using the drug.
“I didn’t do it before I went to work. I didn’t do it at work. It was simply like after I got out of practice, I wanted to kind of relax and chill. It kind of healed my body up,” Alexander told Joe Person of the Charlotte Observer. “It wasn’t like a thing I was doing all the time. I didn’t need it to get up and go.”
Alexander says he hasn’t smoked marijuana in 11 months. The Panthers will need him to step up big this year with Greg Hardy gone, so hopefully he stays clean.
