Buccaneers wide out Mike Evans was happy the team chose Jameis over Mariota
Mike Evans had an awesome rookie year, but the former Texas A&M standout really was hoping to land a pocker passer as his new quarterback in Tampa. The Buccaneers star wide out said he was happy the team chose Jameis Winston over Marcus Mariota.
“He can sit in the pocket and deliver the ball,” Evans said of Winston, per Greg Auman of the Tampa Bay Times. “I did my time with a mobile quarterback. That was fun,” Evans said of his days with Johnny Manziel at Texas A&M.
I think Jameis is going to have a very successful career with the Buccaneers.
