Today the New York Jets picked up the fifth year option on defensive end/linebacker Quinton Coples, according to Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News.

Jets will pick up fifth-year option on Quinton Coples
Coples was the Jets’ first-round pick in the 2012 NFL draft, which means he has an option year for 2016. The Jets have decided to pick it up, and pay him $7.8 million next year.
