Eagles have picked up the 5th year option of aggressive D-Lineman Fletcher Cox
Fletcher Cox took a little time to get use to the NFL, but the disruptive 3-4 defensive end had a breakout campaign in Philadelphia last year. He was labeled the team MVP, by head coach Chip Kelly, and today he was rewarded.
The Philadelphia Eagles signed Cox’s fifth year option today. Cox has tallied 12.5 career sacks but because of his harassment at the line of scrimmage, the Eagles’ opportunistic defense to lead the league in fumbles forced/recovered and rank second with 49 sacks last season.
