Browns are very optimistic they will get Tashaun Gipson locked up long term

Yesterday, Cleveland Browns head coach Mike Pettine told reporters that he’s “very optimistic” they will have a long-term agreement in place with restricted free agent FS Tashaun Gipson soon.
Gipson skipped off-season work-outs, and was not in attendance. Cleveland used a second-round tender on Gipson that will pay him $2.356 million for the 2015 season. Teams can put in an offer for Gipson, but they would have to give up a second round pick for him, which we consider is unlikely.
