Bills RB Fred Jackson will not let his starting position in Buffalo go without a fight

fred jacksonFred Jackson is the oldest running back in the NFL, but the 34 year old back still has fight left in him. After the Bills traded for LeSean McCoy many thought Fred Jackson’s career would be over, but that is not going to happen.  The veteran back, hopes he will not be phased out in Buffalo, and promises to put up a fight for the starting spot.

“They want him to take the majority of the load,” Jackson told the Buffalo News. “But I’m not going to make it easy for him. I’m not going to just hand it to him and say, ‘Here’s the job.’”

“I don’t know what my role is going to be yet,” he said. “I’m going to push him. Every time I get a chance to touch the ball, I’m going to make every play that I can when I’m out there. So, hopefully, by me doing that, I’ll make him take his game to the next level.”
