Seattle Seahawks linebacker says he loves the game too much to retire early
Lately the NFL has players retiring as early as 24 years old. Over the past week and a half, a handful of players have hung up their cleats at a very young age. Chris Borland of the San Francisco 49ers was the latest shocker, as the 24 year old retired after one year of football last night. Others who have retired this week are Patrick Willis, Jake Locker, and Jason Worilds.
While many had a ton of support for Borland, Seattle Seahawks linebacker Bobby Wagner has his own opinion about retiring.
Seahawks linebacker Bobby Wagner, “No offense to anyone but I’m playing until I can’t anymore. I love this game too much.”
That sounds like a shot at the players passion who may have retired early, but as a competitor you could expect someone to say this.
