New League NAFL already off to a horrible start? Is it a SCAM?
I have been getting hit up all morning from former NCAA prospects and former professional athletes who have been patiently waiting in Monroesville, Pennslyvania for a Combine for the new NAFL. The NAFL is a new league that has the backing of former NFL Head Coach Jim Fassel.
Well, the kids approximately 30 are hitting me up today saying that they have been there since 7 am and not one person has shown up. The worst part is the kids had to pay 160 dollars to participate.
The facility is not paid for, the company was supposed to pay for it upon arrival, but not one official has shown up.
These poor kids are trying to get film to prolong their playing career, but it is companies like the NAFL that ruin it for many kids.
Last year the FXFL had a good standing with players until many of them failed to receive their final paychecks.
At the end of the day, it is hard to find a job or to put trust in these new football leagues.
The best leagues to try out for are Arena, CFL, IFL and the NFL. They have been going on for a while and are established. It is hard to get your hopes up for these new leagues. Especially when these antics are considered normal.
**UPDATE**
It seems the Atlanta Combine was cancelled as well!!!
@Grind_Hard29: @DraftDiamonds @TheNAFL they cancel the one in Atlanta too last night smh. I better get all my money back from this
Players need to email for refunds:
Update
We spoke to the president of the NAFL who said all the players will be reimbursed the entire combine price as well as travel/lodging. Submit receipts to the email above. Chris White said it was a horrible miscommunication and they would make it right.
