Miami Dolphins didn’t want Charles Clay anyway; They were trying to land Jimmy Graham
According to Ian Rapoport, it sounds like the Miami Dolphins were willing to let Charles Clay test the market anyway, but they were forced to do something when Jimmy Graham, who they were trying to land from the Saints, landed with the Seahawks. This is a very interesting tidbit, because it makes you wonder who the Dolphins would have been willing to give up to get Graham. Could Mike Pouncey been part of that deal? The Saints wanted a center in return as well as a pick and it sounds like the Dolphins might have been willing to make that trade happen.

Interested to learn the #Dolphins finished 2nd to the #Seahawks in the Jimmy Graham trade. MIA was aggressive in trying to upgrade at TE.
The most interesting thing in my opinion is the fact that the Dolphins were not interested in keep Clay long term anyway….
