Miami Dolphins are now trying to re-sign Charles Clay to a multi-year deal
The Miami Dolphins used the transition tag on tight end Charles Clay last week, but they have competition in the former standout pass catcher. According to many reports, the Bills were expected to sign Charles Clay to a major offer. Well, now the Dolphins are trying to take that option away.
Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the team is talking to Clay about a long-term deal that would keep him in Miami for 2015 and beyond. Clay would stand to make a little more than $7 million under the transition tag, but it seems like he could land more 8 to 10 million in the first year.
