Five best free agents available; How are they not on a team?
Many free agents have already landed lucrative deals, but are there any players worth the risk moving forward? YES THERE IS!!!! There are very solid players that are still available and here is our top 5 players without a team still.
1. Greg Hardy – I am a firm believer in second chances, and let’s face it, Hardy somehow beat his case. The law says that a person is innocent until proven guilty. That is not the case in this situation though, teams are holding it against him, and I get were there could be a concern, but if you want a stud pass rusher, this is the best player available. Hardy is a sack machine, and if a team signs him to a prove it deal, I expect him to do just that.
2. Chris Myers – How can you start every game for the last 8 years, make the Pro Bowl twice and not find a job? I feel this guy is the best available offensive lineman, and with all the teams out there struggling with center problems, this guy should be a main priority for someone. I am surprised the Broncos or Chargers have not signed him yet.
3. Dwayne Bowe – He will likely not be on the market much longer, either will Stevie Johnson or Michael Crabtree, but Bowe is a talent and if a team like Cleveland can snag him that is huge. The Browns need a number one wide receiver and Bowe is clearly that guy. Although he did not score a touchdown in 2014, he is due a break out season.
4. Tramon Williams – The former Packers corner is a great outside corner, but for some reason teams are not expressing much interest. I wonder if he will end up re-signing with the Packers for less money? Williams should be getting paid at least 6 to 7 million a year with the way some of these cornerbacks are getting signed.
5. Brandon Spikes – I had the honor to watch Spikes last season and although he did not play ever snap in Buffalo, the man is a beast against the run. When he was in the game the Buffalo Bills run defense was ten times better. If you are looking for a solid interior backer who can stop the run and dissect the play before it starts, this is your guy.
