Even the Jaguars think the Eagles overpaid running back DeMarco Murray
The Jacksonville Jaguars need a running back more than any team in the NFL. When their general manager was asked about DeMarco Murray, he admitted the team had interest. He even admitted the team made an offer to the former Cowboys running back.
Jaguars GM Dave Caldwell told reporters on Monday that the Eagles’ offer to RB DeMarco Murray far exceed their final offer by more than $2 million per year.
“We were serious about him and we were probably the second-best offer he had,” Caldwell said, via theFlorida Times Union. “We just needed the deal to get done quicker than they were willing to do it. Philly got a great player and we’re excited with the players we got.”
Basically the Jaguars feel the Eagles overpaid the former Cowboys back. Maybe LeSean McCoy was right that they panicked.
