Could the Redskins draft Marcus Mariota to replace RG3?
I honestly think this would be like changing peanuts for peanut butter, but Jason Cole of the Bleacher Report, is saying that the Washington Redskins could be looking to land Marcus Mariota to replace Robert Griffin III.
Cole says he talked to a Redskins official who said the interest is “real”.
According to Cole, Washington would be willing to move on from Robert Griffin III and go in a different direction at quarterback in the event Mariota is available to them by the time they’re on the clock, and only if he is available. The team is not interested in trading up to land the former Ducks quarterback.
I don’t know about you, but I do know the Washington Redskins sound to be playing a game to get the Eagles ready to trade up. It sounds like a smokescreen to me. I mean why would you replace a running quarterback who is skinny and weak with a quarterback that has similar attributes?
