Colts re-sign several of their players; Jerrell Freeman and Boom Herron are back
The Indianapolis Colts today made a qualifying offer to restricted free agent ILB-Jerrell Freeman and made exclusive rights tenders to OLB-Daniel Adongo, RB-Daniel “Boom” Herron and OLB-Cam Johnson.
Freeman was originally signed by the Colts to a reserve/future contract on January 19, 2012. Over the past three seasons (2012-14), he topped 100 tackles each year, recording career totals of 516 tackles (305 solo), 15 passes defensed, 9.0 sacks, eight forced fumbles, three interceptions, including one returned for a touchdown, and two fumble recoveries in 44 starts. He also contributed with 67 tackles (43 solo), 1.5 sacks, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery and one pass defensed in six postseason contests (five starts)
