Steelers GM says the team will likely let Jason Worlids test Free Agency
The Pittsburgh Steelers would likely like to keep Jason Worlids, but he is set to become an unrestricted free agent on March 10 after playing the 2014 season under the transition player designation of $9.754 million. Yesterday, GM Kevin Colbert talked about Jason testing free agency.
“Jason had a good year for us last year,” said Colbert. “He’s still a young player. He’s probably still an ascending player. I don’t think you’ve seen the best of him, either with the Steelers or as a potential player for someone else’s team. He’s definitely someone we will consider keeping. We will see where the market goes.”
Steelers will need to find a replacement for Worlids otherwise they could be looking for another replacement.
