Raiders owner says the team is still trying to get something done in Oakland for a new stadium
Mark Davis has some people upset in the Oakland area, after the news came out next week saying they could be joining the Chargers in Los Angeles. Well Davis talked to reporters today and he said the option in Oakland is still available.
“We’re still trying to get something done in Oakland,” Davis said in a phone interview with CSN Bay Area. “I’ve got options A, B, C and D out there. This is an awesome opportunity to work with the Chargers to try and get something done. … Really, it’s just another part of the process. But again, we’re trying to get something done in Oakland.”
While a potential move would place two quality franchises into the prime Los Angeles marketplace and give the league a shining, technologically current stadium in which to host a Super Bowl down the road, it’s not that simple.
