Jets will have interest in Byron Maxwell once free agency starts
The New York Jets have a very solid football coach in Todd Bowles, and if you know anything about Todd Bowles defense, he loves good cover corners. One corner that would really fit his style of coaching is Byron Maxwell the Seahawks hard hitting corner.
The Jets are expected to be one of the primary suitors for Seahawks free agent Byron Maxwell, according to New York Daily News. The talk in Indy was that the Jets and Eagles would be the two teams fighting for him. After Maxwell, there is a bit of a drop-off, but the Jets likely will add one of the second-tier corners, too — possibly Antonio Cromartie, who has publicly campaigned for a return to the Jets. This could be interesting if the Jets can land a corner or two. While many would like Revis to return, that is very unlikely since the Patriots did just win him his first ring.
