Jaguars vice president purchases a major analytic company
Jaguars senior vice president of technology/football administration Tony Khan today announced his purchase of TruMedia.
Per a press release, TruMedia Networks, “develops sports analytics software, data visualization applications and proprietary sports data warehousing solutions focused on the unique demands of next generation, three-dimensional data.”
Among TruMedia’s clients are the Jaguars, Major League Baseball teams (Cleveland, St. Louis, Pittsburgh and the New York Mets), 12 college football conferences and sports broadcast networks (including ESPN). Khan originally invested in TruMedia in November 2013.
With the NFL turning to an analytic game, this is a very smart investment by the Jaguars vice president.
