Doug Baldwin was fined more than Bruce Irvin for his touchdown celebration
The NFL has handed down the fines for the Super Bowl fiasco at the end of Super Bowl 49. According to multiple reports, Rob Gronkowski has been fined $8,268 for unnecessarily striking an opponent during the game.
Seahawks linebacker Bruce Irvin was ejected from the game, the first time that’s ever happened in Super Bowl history, after being judged to be the instigator of the fracas but according to Pro Football Talk he was only fined $10,000 dollars.
Seahawks defensive end Michael Bennett and Patriots tight end Michael Hoomanawanui were also fined $8,268 for their activities in Arizona. As previously reported, Seahawks wide receiver Doug Baldwin was fined $11,025 for a touchdown celebration deemed obscene for playing out activities usually reserved for a bathroom.
