Colts will be aggressive in free agency; 40 million to spend
40 million dollars will get you a pretty solid off-season, and that is what the Colts expect to do. They expect to stack up their team and make another run at the Super Bowl. Colts G.M. Ryan Grigson said at the Combine that he plans to be aggressive, although he also said he would be smart about not just spending for the sake of spending.
“I think you have to be aggressive no matter what avenue you are going down to acquire players,” Grigson said. “But you can’t just do it for the sake of being aggressive and just get a name, or whomever. It has to be a name that you collectively feel will better your team. You don’t always bat a thousand obviously. It’s a case-by-case basis with each position group, but again, at each spot we are going to try and get guys that play at championship level.”
It will be nice to see the Colts land some defensive guys. They need help on defense, while their offense and special teams continue to carry the load.
